Before working in the game, he spent over a decade in technology and business roles, working as a database administrator, analyst, and web programmer in Türkiye and the United States. That background shaped how he approaches football, not only as a sport, but as a system that can be observed, questioned, and structured.
He later moved into scouting and analysis, working as a scout at Bursaspor and contributing to the development of scouting operations at Scoutium. His work has also included player tracking and market-focused analysis with firstEleven ISM.
Alongside his practical work, he has written and spoken about football from a different angle. His writing has appeared in various platforms, and he has contributed to discussions through radio programs and public talks, including a talk at TEDx as well as appearances in radio programs and a scouting documentary. These experiences gradually shaped the ideas that led to his first book; Scout Açısı, where he attempts to bring structure to the way football is observed and evaluated.
Rather than separating data from intuition, or theory from practice, his work sits in between. Over time, this led him to develop frameworks such as the 5+1 Method and the 3P Model, not as fixed answers, but as tools to navigate the uncertainty of scouting and decision-making. He is working on his second book about explaining these topics further and a scouting workflow software for professional clubs.
Today, his focus remains on the same question that started it all: not just who is a good player, but how that decision is actually made.
